Flinders Island Tasmania

Flinders is the largest of the 51 islands that make up the Furneaux Group. At almost 1400 square kilometres it is much bigger than many visitors imagine it to be.

The sea, with its crystal clear water, offers ideal conditions for scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, and fishing.

Its pristine natural environment is abundant with amazing bird life, beautiful flora including many native orchids, and who could forget all the local native animals.

The Furneaux Museum and historic Wybalenna are just minutes around the road from the cottage. There is also a choice of pristine beaches including the very popular, Allports Beach, Lillies Bay, and Sawyers Bay. Marshall Bay and of course Castle Rock are also just minutes away.

For those who enjoy walking, there are mountains to climb, bush tracks to hike, and coastal tracks to saunter along.

Walk Flinders offer guided walks. To find out more contact them on 0428 212 751.
